I was psyched when I found this sign on my way into the shop. There it was lying on the ground. The snow had melted, waking this little guy up from its winter slumber for me to discover it stuck in the mud. Price $1.
Inspired by Layla at "The Lettered Cottage," I've been trying to spruce up my mantel for Spring. Found these two small creamer jars and the candle stand. Price for all three: $3.
The pitcher on the left I bought at Target a few weeks ago for $20. Found the one on the right at Hub's for $6.
And to add to the pitcher collection on the mantel, I found these two pitchers. Don't laugh. After a coat of primer and white spray paint, these babies will fit right in. I will post the finished products as soon as I'm done. Cost $10 for two.
Jason found this great chair and the bucket. We're not sure what we're going to put in the bucket, but we were psyched to find the chair, which matches our new banister and black stairs. We are almost ready to show you the final entryway! The chair was $9 and the bucket was $2.
I was also on the hunt to find items for our spare room re-design. I found this magazine rack, which I originally was going to spray-paint white, but then decided to keep it as is because I like the coloring. I think it was $5.
Jason has been really into the old wooden crates. We found this one for $2. We have quite a little collection of wooden crates now. We're not sure what we're going to put in them yet. Suggestions, anyone?
Randy told me that I would have to get a cab for the back of Jason's truck because I have a worse junking addiction than him. He might be right.
Tomorrow: Sunday's finds from an antique store nearby. Did The Can Man deliver?

I love the old pitchers, I especially like the one with the leaves on it,reminds me of my grandma's house.
ReplyDeleteYou should see if they have a paint at a ceramic store that you could paint them with....just a suggestion.

interesting magazine rack! As for the crates, did you know that liquor/wine stores will give you the wooden crates with lids for free? I use mine to store craft items and holiday stuff. I have also seen them by a fire place with wood, stacked sideways as shelving, hung on a wall as a shelf...have fun with it!
